Our Team at Central Reservations is dedicated to helping you find the best rental property in OCMD that doesn’t cost you too much money.

Budget-Friendly Buildings in Ocean City, Maryland

The Windjammer:  First up on our list of budget-friendly buildings to vacation in when vacationing in Ocean City, MD is a mid-town Oceanfront building called The Windjammer. It’s location on 46th Street means you aren’t too far away from any restaurants or activities in town, making it easy to drive (or maybe even walk) to wherever your plans are for the night! A few of those great restaurants & bars include Seacrets, 45th Street Taphouse, and Belly Busters. Seacrets is one of the largest entertainment-establishments in America, so if you have some time away from the kids at night, this is a great place to grab a few drinks! 45th Street Taphouse has not only great food & drinks, but a great view of the Assawoman Bay.
*A little locals tip: Go to 45th Street taphouse when the sun is setting… the view is unparalleled. Last, but CERTAINLY not least is Belly Busters. They have some awesome sandwiches, seafood, tacos, and so much more. It’s a stones throw away from The Windjammer, making it a great place to have a quick bite. It’s one of our favorite lunch spots when we’re in the office! The Windjammer not only has a great location but also has a “community” feel with its L shaped design and a private sand patio courtyard right in the middle. This courtyard has a number of tables, corn hole, and a few grills, making it a great area to have a beach picnic with your family and let the kiddos play in the sand. For more information or to book your vacation at the Windjammer, click here!

Makai Condominiums: Next on our list of budget-friendly buildings to vacation in for your trip to OCMD is the Makai condominiums. The Makai is one of the most amenity rich buildings on the bayside of Ocean City with an indoor pool, sauna, fitness room, and billiards room. When booking a vacation at the Makai, you get unlimited access to all of these highly sought after amenities, in a bayside building which is rather unique in Ocean City, MD. Staying on the bayside is always a great way to save some money, as summer rentals that are Oceanfront often come with a higher price. If you are coming to Ocean City for an event at the convention center, there truly isn’t a better building to stay in than the Makai! Its close proximity to the convention center makes visitors in town for dance competitions or one of the many other events the convention center holds every year makes it a great place to stay. The Makai is also very close to many of the same restaurants we mentioned in the previous section of this blog, but we’ll mention one more anyway… the Dough Roller, which is a great place for families to have a casual sit-down dinner in a kid friendly environment with great pizza! The Makai’s close proximity to the convention center, its midtown location, amenities, and reasonable price tag makes it one of the best places to stay when on a budget vacation to OCMD. Tiffanie By The Sea: This building sits on the Oceanblock of 55th street and is next on our list of budget friendly buildings in OCMD. If you’re a beach junky (just like us) but don’t want to spend as much on your OCMD vacation this year, Tiffanie by the Sea is perfect for you! With it’s oceanblock location, you are only a short walk away form the beach without the oceanfront summer rental price tag. This building also features an outdoor pool, which is relatively unique for an oceanblock building. Having an outdoor pool while also being close to the beach is a huge plus, just in case you don’t have it in you to set up umbrellas and play in the sand all day long! Tiffanie by the Sea is also directly across the street from Alley Oops which is one of our top recommendations for families to visit. Alley Oops is a restaurant and arcade where the adults can have a scrumptious dinner, and maybe even a beer while their kids play in the arcade that features everything from your classic arcade games to bowling! If you’re vacationing on a budget this year…be sure to check out Tiffanie by the Sea! Click here to learn more or book today.

Royal Hawaiian: Fourth on our list of budget friendly buildings in Ocean City, Maryland is the Royal Hawaiian. The Royal Hawaiian is the first on our list that rests in north Ocean City and while we’re sure you are already familiar, north OC is the best place to stay for a quiet and serene beach vacation. Similar to Tiffanie by the Sea, the Royal Hawaiian is an Oceanblock building meaning a short walk to the beach. As we mentioned, North Ocean City, MD tends to be a bit quieter than other locations, making for a relaxing beach vacation. The beaches are typically a bit less crowded in North OC, so you’ll have plenty of room to set up a few umbrellas, a cabana, or whatever else you bring with you to the beach! The Royal Hawaiian features both indoor and outdoor pools so you can still swim even on a rainy day. One of our favorite things about the Royal Hawaiian is its location. In our opinion, it can’t be beat. This building is in close proximity to Ponzetti’s Pizza, Nicks House of Ribs, locals favorite DeVito’s Sub Shop, and of course… grab & go tacos (which we get lunch from probably once a week). There are also a few mini golf courses nearby, which is a great nighttime family activity. Choose to stay at the Royal Hawaiian and you won’t be disappointed (neither will your wallet). Our Place at the Beach: Last, but certainly not least on our list is Our Place at the Beach. If you prefer an exceptionally quiet and peaceful beach vacation, this is the building for you. Made up of a number of smaller condo buildings on the Bayside of North Ocean City, Our Place at the Beach is a great place to get away from the everyday stressors of our busy lives. If you don’t feel like making the walk across Coastal Highway to the beach, don’t worry! Our Place at the Beach has an outdoor pool so you and your family can soak up some sun without leaving the ‘neighborhood.’ This community is a short walk away from the Gold Coast Mall which features places to shop, an awesome liquor store, and restaurants. With its quaint bayside location you can enjoy all Ocean City has to offer while not putting too much stress on your wallet. If you’re interested in staying at Our Place at the Beach, reach out!
