Ocean City’s Boardwalk has so many great places to stay & so many fun things to do!
Whether you love OC for its white sandy beaches, fresh seafood, the wide variety of dining options, happening nightlife, beach concerts, crab cakes (of course), quality golf courses, stunning oceanfront condos, there’s one part of this town you simply cannot forget – the Ocean City Boardwalk! The boardwalk is a premier vacation destination of its own, year in & year out. We have over 8-million annual visitors to Ocean City, and the boardwalk is a big reason why! It’s easy to see why. With attractions like Trimpers amusement park (the oldest family-owned amusement park in the country), family arcades, bars, restaurants, ice cream shops, mini-golf, Thrashers fries, and SOOO much more, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Today, we’ll be showing you a few of our favorite Boardwalk Rental Condos where you can stay, as well as a few great businesses that you just have to try.
Oceanfront Stays on the Boardwalk
There are TONS of beautiful condos on the boardwalk, many offering amazing oceanfront views. If you’re looking to really “experience” the boardwalk and you want to wake up to an oceanfront view, while also being just steps away from the beach, countless restaurants, great entertainment, easy parking, and lots of amenities, then you need to check out one of our luxury condos at The Belmont Towers or South Beach Boardwalk. Two of the newer buildings on the Boards, these two offer expansive condos with lots of great amenities….and parking!
Belmont Towers
Belmont Towers is one of the most sought-after buildings on the Boardwalk. This building has a number of amenities including a sundeck and outdoor pool, a fitness room, sauna, putting green, and secure permit parking. The fun doesn’t stop there. Belmont towers is conveniently located on Dorchester Street, which is right next to some of our favorite boardwalk activities. At the base of the building, you’ll find Fishers Popcorn, Candy Kitchen, and Ocean City, MD merchandise stores. You’re also just a stone’s throw away from Trimper Rides (one of our favorite amusement parks in OCMD), arcades, Thrashers Fries, and Ripley’s Believe It or Not. And for those of you that have stayed downtown, the last features might be one of the best – Belmont Towers has it’s own private/gated parking garage, assuring each guest of a minimum 2-parking spots for each condo! This makes the Belmont Towers a great place to stay for families, particularly ones with young children. Your close proximity to countless OCMD attractions means no car seats, no drive, and no questions of “are we there yet?”

South Beach Boardwalk
Next, we’re going to take a stroll up the boardwalk and pay a visit to another Oceanfront Condominium, “South Beach Boardwalk”. South Beach is located on 7th Street and is an excellent choice if you’re considering an OCMD boardwalk vacation. Similar to Belmont Towers, South Beach comes with some amazing amenities. This building provides a true “all in one” experience where you can park your car (in another gated/private parking garage), and not move it for a week if you choose. South Beach has a gorgeous outdoor pool with an absolutely stunning view, a massive atrium-style indoor pool, private garage parking, fitness room, and close proximity to scrumptious food. Sitting at the base of the building, you’ll find Piezano’s Pizza which has seriously delicious pizza, subs, finger food & appetizers, and so much more. Their carryout window is typically pretty quick as well, so, if you’re on the go, this is a great option for a quick bite. South Beach is also within walking distance of all of the attractions we mentioned near Belmont Towers but is also close to restaurants such as Shenanigan’s and Brass Balls Saloon. Shenanigan’s is an Irish Pub that is family friendly, has a ton of seating, great service, and great drinks. Brass Balls Saloon is famous for their all-American breakfast food that is sure to leave you satisfied.

How affordable are these places?
We know what you’re thinking… doesn’t a vacation in one of these buildings ALWAYS cost a fortune? While a vacation in an Oceanfront building on the Ocean City, Maryland boardwalk does, of course, cost more than a small condo on the bayside of 100th street, that doesn’t mean you have to break the bank. There are plenty of options for shorter 3-day stays, or the increasingly popular off-season stays (late August through Oct on the Boards has become the locals favorite time of year for a reason).
Budget Friendly Stays Near the OCMD Boardwalk

While there are options to stay directly on the boardwalk without breaking the bank, you can save even more by choosing to vacation in a summer rental in OCMD that is on the Ocean block or Bayside of downtown Ocean City, Maryland. While you may not be directly on the boardwalk, you will still be within walking or biking distance and have access to all of the activities and restaurants the boardwalk has to offer. We have over plenty of rentals that are either oceanblock (meaning they are on the ocean side of coastal highway, but are not oceanfront), bayfront, bayside non-water, and bayside canal located between the inlet & 28th street (which marks the end of the boardwalk).
Some vacationers make the mistake of looking past some of these wonderful properties. There are some hidden gems in this area, and you can save a substantial amount of money by staying here!

They are open daily for breakfast at 7:30AM, close for lunch, and re-open for dinner at 4:00PM daily.
