Quick Overview

Sea Watch is one of Ocean City's largest oceanfront condominiums, built in 1975, with 20 stories, 399 units and a scale of shared amenities few other buildings can match. Units run 2 to 3 bedrooms and suit small families or two couples traveling together, and the building's size makes it a strong fit for larger groups booking multiple units for reunions or milestone trips.

Guests arrive to a full kitchen and private balcony, with indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, tennis and basketball courts, a game room, a seasonal deli and ice cream shop, and an on-site movie theater all in the building. Many units include a den for extra sleeping space, and higher floors pick up combined ocean and bay views thanks to the building's angled, V-shaped layout; end units in the -10 and -20 stacks get two balconies instead of one. The beach is right outside, and Gold Coast Mall sits directly across Coastal Highway. Sea Watch doesn't have an on-site Central Reservations office, but the team's local base is just a few miles south at 6200 Coastal Highway. Parking is in a secure, guarded garage, and the indoor pool closes for part of the winter.

Sea Watch Amenities and Features

About the Building

Sea Watch went up in 1975 as part of the wave of construction that built out North Ocean City's ""High Rise Row"" — the stretch of Coastal Highway lined with the city's tallest oceanfront towers. It's still one of the largest condominiums in that lineup, with a V-shaped layout designed to pull ocean views into as many units as possible rather than stacking rooms in a straight line facing the water.

What sets Sea Watch apart from its High Rise Row neighbors is how much of a resort experience it packs inside — three pools, tennis and basketball courts, a game room, a movie theater, and a seasonal deli and ice cream shop, all without leaving the building. It's the kind of amenity list usually reserved for a hotel, built into a condo building instead.

Is Sea Watch Right for You?

Sea Watch Is Best For

  • Small families or two couples traveling together — every unit runs 2 or 3 bedrooms.
  • Large groups or reunions who want to book multiple units in the same building.
  • Guests who want a resort-style amenity list — pools, courts, a game room, and a movie theater — without leaving the building.
  • Anyone who wants direct oceanfront access with secure, guarded on-site parking.
  • Guests who don't mind being based in North Ocean City rather than near the Boardwalk.

May Not Be the Best Fit If

  • Anyone traveling with a pet — Sea Watch doesn't allow them.
  • Guests looking for a 1-bedroom unit — Sea Watch only offers 2- and 3-bedroom floor plans.
  • Anyone who wants to walk to the Boardwalk — it's several miles away, a drive or bus ride from here.
  • Guests visiting in the off-season who need guaranteed pool access — the outdoor pools and indoor pool both have seasonal closures.

Our Local Insights on Sea Watch

Booking Timing

Sea Watch is one of Ocean City's most popular buildings, and units book fast — often as early as winter or early spring for peak summer weeks. If you're set on a specific stack or week, start looking well before spring.

View Orientation

Sea Watch's V-shaped layout means the view depends on your stack. Some units face directly east over the ocean, while units on the north and south sides get angled ocean views along with a look at the bay — ask about stack position if a specific view matters to you.

Rainy Day Advantage

Between the game room, the on-site movie theater, and the deli and ice cream shop, a rainy day at Sea Watch doesn't mean being stuck in the unit. Add the indoor pool during its open season, and there's enough here to fill a full day without needing to drive anywhere.

Location Tip

With Gold Coast Mall directly across Coastal Highway, a dinner out or an afternoon of shopping doesn't require much of a drive — just a quick trip across the highway and you're there.
