Ocean City Recreation and Parks Northside Park

Find beautiful bayside walking trails at Ocean City’s largest and most popular park, with over a mile of walking trails accessible for all types of walkers. Northside Park is the perfect place to get outside with kids, and you can stop off at a playground and picnic area on your way around the trail. If you or any walkers in your group want to do more than walk, there’s an outdoor exercise area and sports fields.

Ocean City Boardwalk

Get your steps in and take in the salty, fresh breeze on Ocean City’s famous boardwalk. Walk the boards with the whole family or bring the dog for a long walk as well. From one end of the boardwalk to the other, you can clock 2.5 miles! Find benches along the way to take a break if needed. Another fun place to explore on the boardwalk is the fishing pier, where you can see the love locks on the railing. You have three trails to choose from at the Assateague Island National Park; each is a half-mile loop. The Life of Dunes Nature trail is a soft sand surface, and the Life of Forest Nature Trail and Life of Marsh Nature Trail are boardwalks making them more accessible. Get some great pictures of the Assateague ponies and the other wildlife you might see along the trail, like birds and deer!

Rackliffe House Trail Loop

This hidden gem leads you to the historic Rackliffe Trail that overlooks Sinepuxent Bay with views of Assateague Island. The trail starts just past the Assateague Island Visitor Center and loops its way through a scenic wooded trail. It’s the perfect walk for fresh air and protection from the wind. Halfway through your walk, you’ll find the historic Rackliffe House sitting on a hill originally built in the 1740s.
