The Life of Dunes Nature trail is a soft sand surface, and the Life of Forest Nature Trail and Life of Marsh Nature Trail are boardwalks making them more accessible. Get some great pictures of the Assateague ponies and the other wildlife you might see along the trail, like birds and deer!
Rackliffe House Trail Loop
This hidden gem leads you to the historic Rackliffe Trail that overlooks Sinepuxent Bay with views of Assateague Island. The trail starts just past the Assateague Island Visitor Center and loops its way through a scenic wooded trail. It’s the perfect walk for fresh air and protection from the wind. Halfway through your walk, you’ll find the historic Rackliffe House sitting on a hill originally built in the 1740s.
