Today we have something a little bit different for you. If you’re planning a beach vacation to Ocean City, MD, stop! Today, we’re doing the planning for you.
We’ve made a travel itinerary for your vacation that reflects our idea of a partial week beach getaway to Ocean City, MD. Whether you’re coming down with friends, family, or your significant other, we think this vacation itinerary is a great tool to use for those that need some help or ideas. We hope you enjoy!
Thursday: Arrive & Unwind
9:00AM: Get ready to go!
Unless you’re working today and are planning on making the drive to the beach after work, it’s time to get ready to get on the road! We wanted to start this travel plan at the beginning of your day to make sure that there we have the chance to remind you of a couple of things to bring along.
First, don’t forget toilet paper & soap! Most summer rentals in OCMD do not provide soap and paper products, so make sure you bring along some toilet paper, hand soap, body soap, dish soap, shampoo, etc. Pro tip- pack the toilet paper on the top of your suitcase for easy access when you arrive!
Next, make sure you remember sheets and towels if you didn’t order a linen package. While some vacation rentals in OCMD offer sheets & towels, most do not. So, a few weeks before your reservation make sure you confirm that you have ordered a linen package, your property provides linens, or that you have enough to bring along!
3:00PM: Check -In
Welcome to Ocean City! Our check-in time is typically 3:00pm. If you can’t make it by then, don’t worry! If you’re going to be arriving late, give us a call so we can give you our late check-in instructions to make sure you’re taken care of. And if you’re early, our team will always let you know if your unit is ready a few hours early.
During the summer, our office is extremely busy, so please be respectful of our team’s time. We promise, if your unit is ready early, we’ll let you know! If you’re arriving right on time, check your email for check-in instructions. You’ll either be checking in at our 62nd street office, or the Gateway Grand, the Windjammer, or the Makai if you’re staying at one of those buildings. After you get your keys, head to the condo, take a second to breathe, unpack and start to relax!
4:30 PM: Beach Time or a Nap
If you’re a true beach junkie like us, this is a great time to throw on your swimsuit, a couple of beach chairs, a few beach chairs, and head to the beach! If you’re just too tired after the drive, take some time to relax and take a nap! You’re on vacation… this isn’t the time to try to squeeze everything you can into your schedule… it’s time to RELAX!
6:30PM: Dinner & Arcade Games at Alley Oops
After you’ve gotten a few hours of beach time or a nap, it’s time for dinner & arcade games at Alley Oops! Alley Oops has two locations, one in midtown Ocean City on 55th Street, and one in North Ocean City on 131st Street. Alley Oops is a family friendly restaurant that features not only great food and cold draft beer, but an arcade as well!
