May is one of our favorite months in Ocean City, MD. Summer is finally starting to peek its head around the corner, and there are a ton of fun events to participate in. This year we’re kicking off the beach season with a bang, with a classic car show, a rock music festival, Memorial Day celebrations, and more!

Cruisin’ Ocean City
When: May 1 – May 4, 2025
Where: Convention Center & Boardwalk
If you love classic cars & hot rods, we are seriously suggesting you come to Ocean City for the first few days of May. For 35 years, Cruisin’ OC has brought thousands of amazing classic cars to the beach for one of the best car-shows you’ll ever attend. Enjoy live music, car parades, vendor shows, and so much more.

Boardwalk Rock Music Festival
When: May 17 – May 18, 2025
Where: Ocean City Inlet
Come rock out with us at the first ever Boardwalk Rock Music Festival! If you’ve visited OCMD for Country Calling or Oceans Calling and love rock music, we highly recommend you get your ticket for Boardwalk Rock ASAP. Enjoy performances from legendary bands like Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, and Nickelback, an amusement park inside the festival grounds, and local food vendors!

Berlin Farmers Market
When: Every Sunday in May 2025, 9 AM – 1 PM
Where: Downtown Berlin, MD (just 10 minutes from Ocean City)
Head to nearby Berlin, which is just about 10 minutes from OC for the weekly Berlin Farmers Market on your way out of town on Sunday! Enjoy locally grown produce, good eats, and stroll around downtown Berlin for an impromptu shopping trip!

Memorial Day Weekend
When: May 24 – May 26, 2025
Where: All of Ocean City!
Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend at the beach this year! This is the official OC summer kick-off and Ocean City will be filled with people enjoying the sun & the sand. All of your favorite bars, restaurants, and shops will be open and ready for you to enjoy.

3rd Annual Battle For The Buckle Tournament
When: May 29 – May 31, 2025
Where: Harbour Island Marina
Saddle up for the 3rd Annual Battle For The Buckle, Ocean City’s only “Saltwater Cowboy” fishing tournament! Anglers compete for prizes in a Western-themed showdown, battling big fish like marlin and tuna. Spectate the weigh-ins for free at Harbour Island Marina or join the fun with family-friendly activities.
